In a journey filled with creativity and cultural immersion, a series of workshops unfolded across the scenic landscapes of northwestern Iran. Commencing in the historic city of Ardabil, the expedition traversed through Tabriz, Urmia, culminating in the enchanting City of Jolfa. This region, rich in history and natural beauty, served as an inspiring backdrop for the exploration of photography and visual storytelling. Over the span of four enriching days, the workshops garnered significant interest, attracting over 250 passionate individuals eager to delve into the world of visual storytelling. Spearheaded by renowned photographer Pooyan Tabatabaei, with collaborative insights from Jalal Shamsazaran, the sessions delved into the nuanced aspects of photography in contemporary times.

Participants were treated to a comprehensive exploration of photography techniques, from capturing the essence of a moment to conveying compelling narratives through imagery. Through hands-on activities and engaging discussions, attendees honed their skills while gaining a deeper appreciation for the power of visual storytelling. The workshops not only served as a platform for skill enhancement but also fostered a sense of community among participants, fostering connections and collaborations that extend beyond the confines of the workshop space.

As the inaugural workshops concluded in Jolfa, instructors embarked on their departure with a renewed sense of inspiration and a collective ardor for the craft of photography. Their exploration of northwestern Iran not only deepened their artistic endeavors but also imprinted a lasting impression on their cultural appreciation and understanding of the region. The conclusion of the initial workshop series coincided with the festive Christmas season, providing both our instructors and participants with a special chance and privilege to explore a historic church, engage deeply with the cultural richness of Jolfa, and infuse their artistic pursuits with a spiritual essence.

During this workshop segment, NVP Images partnered with and received sponsorship from Binesh Institute, Aras Industrial Free Trade Zone Organization, Aras Film and Photo Association, Hoze Honary of Ardabil, Laleh Gallery,  Iranian Young Cinema Society, Galley 17, and Urmia Flaneur.
